The final group will then be reduced to 33 players, ready to take on New Zealand in the opening match of the World Cup on 8 September. Galthié also announced that a first preparation camp will take place from 6 to 9 June, with 23 players. The aim is to give members of the “premium group” the opportunity to train intensively, alongside players under the age of 20. Initially, a meeting against the British Barbarians was planned, but in the end it did not take place.
