We are getting closer to the end of the year and therefore to the end of the year for any well-functioning company;) At iDalgo, the numbers, we already know (we are in October), will be good, even very good. Despite the year 2020, we have survived, we have fought, often with fear, but always with courage. We have even invested and thus advanced and therefore logically we are rewarded. And it's thanks to the work of everyone, yes everyone.
After triggering a pandemic in February 2020, during our seminar in Seville, we hoped to no longer change the destiny of the world with a new super seminar.
Our criteria were simple, even modest. We were looking for a sunny place (well, we had a bit of rain), we wanted sport (Thanks Diego), we wanted history with a capital H (we had Pompeii) and we wanted quality gastronomy (Forza Italia). So Naples came out on us.
Take-off: Wednesday, October 6 at 8:40pm
Landing: Wednesday, October 6 at 22:55
A few minutes later we meet Salvatore and his son Giuseppe (that cannot be invented). There we go. Head to the heart of Naples which is not very far away because the airport is right in the city 😱!!!
After meeting Giulio and Cosimo, the people in charge of our accommodations, we went to discover Naples, because some were (already or still) hungry.
First courses of pasta at 1:00 in the morning!
Thursday 7 October
Despite the pleasure that we all had traveling together to another place, another country, we had to work a little bit:)
And what could be better than a good sharing meeting in a beautiful Italian hotel from the 70s? Nothing
After passionate and necessary exchanges, congratulating each other, unveiling our ambitions, our goals, applauding the Powerpoints, finishing the croissants and drinking all the coffee, we finally set off, with our hair in the wind, (for those who still can) on an adventure.
13:00 pasta and pizza!
Hello picturesque Spanish neighborhoods with its columns of streets rising towards the unknown and its waltz of wild mopeds, capable of superb stunts so as not to have to slow down in front of a group of tourists stunned by the show. Hello city where Diego Armando Maradona is visible at every corner with the mythical Neapolitan actor Toto. But also the first ice creams!
At the end of the day, guess what, it's pasta or pizza 🤣 + “o sole mio” playing guitar.
Friday 8 October
It's the day we're going to travel back in time. More precisely at the time of the Roman Empire. Pompeii touched us all, impressed us all, and even moved us. Incredible morning of discovery.
After this extraordinary visit, we leave, heading for the best pizzas in Naples according to our great Neapolitan friend Francesco, the “50 Kalò”.
After that's it, a short stroll by the sea...
... then we all voted for a new challenge, drinking cocktails, up there, near Sant'Elmo Castle. We were thigh-weary, but the funicular helped us a lot:)
Successful challenge! For the record, we drank Peroni 🍻, Pritzs, London Mules,
The 2nd descent was just as beautiful as the first:)
After the effort the comfort:)
Saturday 9 October
Last breakfast all together and we will have free time! Some will leave in the afternoon, others will stay until Sunday. Life is beautiful when it's simple and the people around you are just as simple and good.
After the Diavola di Castelpoto Con Burrata pizza, the Linguine AL Profumo di Limone, the few spritzes, Limoncello and the authentic 'o sole mio', what can we say about our Neapolitan walks during the day and the heat at night? Thank you Naples, thank you all, thank you Anne-Marie.
But where will we go tomorrow? 🤫
